World No. 1, Grand Slam Champions, Olympic Medalists Enter Delray Beach Open Doubles

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (January 28, 2025) – The Delray Beach Open announced its world-class doubles entry list today. Fans will see current and former No. 1 players, Grand Slam champions, Olympic medalists, past DBO winners and NCAA titlists at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center Feb. 7-16. On the singles side, Tommy Paul made his debut in the world’s Top 10 this week, joining two-time defending champion and world No. 4 Taylor Fritz. They will be the top two seeds in the singles draw.

 

Current doubles world No. 1 Marcelo Arevalo won back-to-back Delray Beach Open titles in 2022-23. He returns with new partner Horacio Zeballos, a former No. 1-ranked player currently at No. 7.

 

Former No. 1s Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury are teaming up, as are Americans Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram. The Americans have both held the No. 1 ranking and won the Olympic silver medal together last summer in Paris, falling to John Peers in the gold medal match. Last week, Peers won the Australian Open mixed doubles title, defeating DBO entrant John-Patrick Smith in the final. Peers will partner with former No. 1 and DBO champion Jamie Murray in Delray Beach.

Former Delray Beach Open and Grand Slam singles champion Juan Martin del Potro is returning to the DBO for the first time in six years to play in the tournament’s Legends event on Opening Weekend, Feb. 7-9. Alongside other Legends he’ll face off against Bob and Mike Bryan, the best doubles team of all time. French Open champs Luke and Murphy Jensen, Delray singles champions Sam Querrey, Tommy Haas and Xavier Malisse, and two-time semifinalist Steve Johnson will round out a stellar Opening Weekend of Legends and qualifying matches.
