DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 16, 2026) – Former US Open champion and Hall of Famer Andy Roddick will return to the Delray Beach Open to play in the Legends Event during Fan Fest Opening Weekend Feb. 12-14. He will compete in primetime under the lights on opening night Friday, Feb. 12 and Saturday, Feb. 13. Tickets are available at DelrayBeachOpen.com.

 

“Delray Beach will always be special to me,” Roddick said. “It’s where I played my first ATP Tour event and started my professional career. I’m excited to come back next February and be part of the Legends event. It’s going to be a lot of fun playing in front of the Delray Beach fans again.”

 

Roddick will be joined in the Legends Event field by doubles greats Bob and Mike Bryan, former world No. 2 Tommy Haas, two-time DBO champion Jan-Michael Gambill, Luke and Murphy Jensen, Ryan Harrison, and local fan favorite Jesse Levine.

 

The three-day Legends Event runs Feb. 12-14, 2027 as a round-robin competition featuring past legends of the sport to kick off the ATP 250 tournament’s 35th anniversary. Qualifying matches will be played Feb. 13-14, and singles and doubles main draw action will take place Feb. 15-21.

 

Roddick, a former World No. 1 and 2003 US Open champion, has ties to Delray Beach that date back to the very start of his career. He made his pro debut in Delray in 2000, won the doubles title in 2001 (with Gambill), and reached the singles final in 2002.

 

On Friday, Feb. 12, Roddick will team with Haas against the Bryan brothers, and on Saturday, Feb. 13, he will pair with Levine, also against the Bryans.

 

The Bryans, the winningest doubles team in history with 16 Grand Slam titles and 119 ATP titles together, won the Delray Beach Open six times. They were inducted into the International Hall of Fame in 2025 and Delray Beach’s Walk of Fame in 2018.

 

Haas won 15 ATP Tour titles during his career including the 2006 Delray Beach Open, while Gambill won the DBO in 2001 and 2003 and Harrison was a doubles finalist in 2021. TheJensen brothers won Roland Garros in 1993, and Levine, a four-time ATP Tour quarterfinalist, is the Director of Racquet Sports at Shell Bay Club in nearby Hallandale Beach.
