GEORGE BAXTER 

John grew up in New York and began playing tennis in high school and junior college. After a successful career in IT culminating as Senior Director of Information Technology for a $10B corporation he transitioned to tennis officiating in 2018, while playing tennis in Delray Beach. Today, he’s a certified official across USTA, ITF, and ITA disciplines, and serves as President of the South Florida Professional Tennis Association. He coordinates volunteers for major USTA events including the Billie Jean King Cup and Davis Cup, and proudly supports Special Olympics athletes as a chair umpire. His favorite event is the Delray Beach Open, where he leads a dedicated team of volunteers, known as the Court Crusaders, who ensure smooth on-court operations.

Mizner Country Club is known as a Platinum Club of America and a Distinguished Club of the World. The member-owned gated community currently features 471 single-family residences and is situated in Delray Beach, FL. Amenities for members and their guests include: a newly renovated 18-hole Kipp Schulties golf course, six tennis courts, a resort-style swimming pool, a fitness center with state of the art equipment including an aerobics facility, golf and tennis pro shops and programs, an elegant grand ballroom, versatile dining options, year-round social events, and children's activities.
