Big Names Win Big in Day 2 of Qualifying

Day two of the Delray Beach Open qualifying matches saw some big names advance to the next round.

2022 Australian Open Grand Slam doubles champion, Australian No. 77 Thanasi Kokkinakis, defeated four-time All-American No. 278 Brandon Holt 6-4, 6-3 in the first round of qualifying to move on to the final round of qualifying. 

Next Gen Japanese native No. 142 Shintaro Mochizuki, a former Wimbledon boys champion, won in straight sets against No. 766 American Stefan Kozlov 6-3, 7-6(2). Mochizuki will move on to the final round of qualifying. 

No. 154 American Nicolas Moreno De Alboran won his second three-set match in two days to defeat No. 71 Italian Flavio Cobolli 5-7, 6-2, 6-3. Moreno De Alboran advances to the main draw.

No. 145 American and two-time USTA 18s champion Zachary Svajda defeated No. 138 Canadian Gabriel Diallo 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 to advance to the main draw.

No. 137 and 2019 Delray Beach Open champion Radu Albot defeated No. 144 Frenchman Terence Atmane 7-5, 6-4 to advance to his seventh DBO main draw.
