DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2025) – The Delray Beach Open announced today a new addition to the tournament in 2026 – three-time Grand Slam finalist Casper Ruud of Norway.
The ATP 250 tournament runs Feb. 13-22 at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center. Tickets are available at DelrayBeachOpen.com.
Ruud, currently ATP world No. 12, has been ranked as high as No. 2 and reached the finals at the 2022 French and US Opens and the 2023 French Open. This year he won the biggest title of his career at the Masters 1000 in Madrid, defeating two-time DBO champion Taylor Fritz enroute to the clay court title. The tournament previously announced that Fritz will be returning to the DBO next year looking for a record third championship.
“I’m really excited to be coming to Delray Beach for the first time,” said Ruud, who owns 13 ATP Tour titles. “I’ve heard the fans and atmosphere are amazing, and I can’t wait to get out there and enjoy the experience. It’s always fun to play in a new place, and I’m looking forward to being part of such a great event.”
Ruud’s father and coach, Christian Ruud, played the tournament in 1998 when it was held in Coral Springs, seven months before Casper’s birth. Twenty-eight years after his father’s appearance, the younger Ruud will make his debut. Casper recently announced he is expecting his first child.
Before and after the tournament, Ruud and his father are likely to be found on the beautiful South Florida golf courses. They are known to drive between tournaments to play courses along the way, and Casper has an Instagram account dedicated just to the golfing side of his life.
Watch for more player announcements in the coming weeks.
In 2026, the tournament will feature new food and beverage options and VIP events including the Serve & Savor party, part of the always popular Delray Beach Open Food & Wine Series that hosts over 40 of the top restaurants, food purveyors, and spirit partners in South Florida.
